OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Health recently honored Pathfinder Bank with its Community Partner Award.
The Community Partner Award is designed to honor a corporation or foundation that “demonstrates exceptional commitment through financial support and through encouraging and motivating others to take a leadership role in philanthropy and community engagement,” according to a news release from Oswego Health.
The award was one of three presented by Oswego Health as part of its scheduled 3rd Annual Oswego Health Foundation Gala, where it recognizes local leaders, including physicians and business partners, who demonstrate a commitment to improving the community and its residents. The gala was postponed due to COVID-19, but Oswego Health still presented the prizes to the winners at their respective facilities.
Pathfinder Bank has served central New York since 1859, and it has a strong commitment to customer service and community involvement, says Oswego Health. “An organization that understands what it means to give back to the community, Pathfinder Bank even instills a culture of philanthropy and volunteerism throughout its organization by encouraging its employees to take an active role in supporting the communities in which they live and work,” the statement said.
Pathfinder Bank was an early supporter of the Oswego Health Campaign, donating $250,000, “signifying its belief that the health system provides the community with access to medical services and programs safe, modern and of high quality”.
Pathfinder Bank is a New York State chartered commercial bank headquartered in Oswego, which has 10 full-service offices located in its market areas including Oswego and Onondaga County and one limited-use office in Oneida County. v
