Doha: Education City Golf Club has developed a strong golf development program over the past few years by hosting tournaments for young golfing talents.
The program now sees over 100 children actively playing and learning golf. In 2020, the golf club launched a junior program called “Play to Par” which was designed to provide children with a “playful” mindset by setting goals and progression targets.
As the child improves and develops golf skills, the goals expand to levels that can be achieved over time by introducing playing skills to the course.
With the continued support of Commercial Bank, Education City Golf Club organized the 2nd Junior Tournament on the Par 3 Course.
This Pro-Am tournament is seen as a key component in developing and encouraging children to play golf on the course with local PGA professionals. The 2nd Commercial Bank Par 3 Pro AM was established to support the development of children in Qatar and was played on September 25, 2021.
Social distancing rounds of golf with 4 participants in each group took part in a friendly competition. A warm but enjoyable afternoon on the golf course, with fantastic golf skills from all the promising golfing talents at Education City Golf Club.
The Commercial Bank Play to Par program has progressed beyond our expectations.
